So I was catching up on glee last night, as I've managed to miss a good 6/7 episodes (OH GOD ITS SO GOOD NOW) and I really liked Britney's arm warmers. I was about to go an adventure to find some online, when it occured to me, I CAN MAKE MY OWN. So this was my first attempt at ribbed knitting, I have to say, Im most impressed! Im gonna make more, and put them on my shop, when its finally ready.

So last weekend saw my Nephew Thor's (I wish that was his real name) first birthday. Huzzah! He's got through a year, I haven't managed to destroy him, all is good with the world.

So amongst a variety of 'learning toys' me and my other sister bought the little tyke, I decided to make him some artwork for his room.

When presented with 'creatures of the night' I got lots of giggles and a beaming smile of appreciation. So at least he loves my work. So here is the first my drawing journeys. I plan to make more, and put them in my shop (available VERY soon, Im hitting some technical difficulties, that will be solved very soon).

KILLA KILLA.

The Living Light Bulb.

I've been struggling to get inspired recently. So I've been forcing myself to just draw, anything, in hopes it will spark something in my mind. This got me thinking about how in cartoons and things, the light bulb is a sign of an idea. So I started to doodle them. And being true to myself, bringing in them alive.

I really liked the personalities they started to have, so I've started to make them into real beings. this is Bernice, she's prototype one. So far so good.

This is Ed, prototype two. I like him lots, I wanted to make the separation of the metal bit at the end and his 'glass' body.

and here they are together. Happy as Larry.

I'm gonna trial out the different shapes and things in my next batch. And when they are done, get a little animation done up of them, a friend has offered to help me. I think that could be really exciting, and something I've wanted to do for ages!

Rufus The Great.

After the birth of the Dinorawr cushion, I got asked to make this commission piece for a friend. Its based on her wonderful doggie, Rufus. I wanted to get it looking like a portrait on a wall in an old victorian home. This I was pretty successful.. I do have a few more things to unleash in the next couple of weeks, so keep watching! Doodles Oodles

So I've been extremely lazy in updating this thing. I've been working on a few new ideas, as well as making a few bits and pieces for people, all of which I will unveil in the next couple of weeks! I got stitch! coming up this Thursday, so all my attention is pretty much on that. So I thought I'd do a quick blog of some stuff ive been doodling recently. a very small snippet mind you!

yarn galore.

I recently just finished this scarf, another present for a friend, I hope he doesn't see this before I give it to him haha. im really pleased with how it came out. the stripes are in this formation, in sets of three on each end of the scarf.

BAD.

Im an so NAUGHTY. its been nearly two months since ive updated this thing. It's not that I haven't been doing lots of exciting things, ive just been super duper busy! im sorry! I'll put up some nice stuff over the next week. I've actually got some time of work so I can do so =]

So for one of my new baby nephews presents I made him a scarf for christmas. I was pretty pleased with it, only took me like an evening, and he loves it (yay!)

I really like knitting. I forgot how much I love to do it! So im gonna put some in my shop.

The speech bubble cushion. roughly like a standard size. So you can pass on a message to anyone who tries to come and disturb you ;]

Cut Through.

I reallly got into cut through work this year. I like what it does to the fabric(s) I made these pieces as wall hangings. They are intended for the home and sit at about 2metres long each.

MORE GIANTS

I completely forgot I hadn't put photos of these two up. Whilst doing my FMP, I decided to go BIG and make a giant knife and fork. They are just a bit bigger than A2 paper cos they don't fit in my portfolio properly...

I like them. They are fun. You can hit people with them haha =]

SPEAK EASY.

I did a selection of speech bubbles for one project. Me and my partner in Crime Cils (the other half to stitch!) thought it would be jokes if we took them out with us one night, as I have quite a choicey use of words!

It got me thinking, SPEECH BUBBLE BROOCHES.

I've done one as a sample, if you would like to buy one, you can choose the size, colours, words, etc. so Price will depend on that!

Also, finally figuring out this website malarky, hopefully have it up soon!

I got a little distracted yesterday and made this little guy in the afternoon. he's about 6 inches wide and is most cuddly. His name is Tom.

If you're interested in having your own, he comes in a variety of colours, and different coloured sprinkles, different eyes and eye colour, etc. Just message me for details!

Entree 1.

A friend asked me a couple of months ago to work on some pillows for him. my only rule really being he wanted it concentrated on the text, and to make them look cool. He wanted each pillow to have a different word and theme to it. All the words are being based on the old batman words, like Pow! Bang! Sploosh! etc. You get the picture. So finally finished the first one, and the second is underway. And ive finally bothered to take some pictures of this one!

GIANT.

AT LAST. THE BIRTH OF THE GIANT MIXTAPE PILLOW. I was asked to do one of these as a commission piece for a friend, I got to choose the colours, and size. All he wanted was a cassette tape, but giant sized.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out, its nice and comfy, and its easy to roll up. so it would make a good travelling pillow! It's nearly as big as your standard pillow.
